About Bubble Art…

Bubble Art is literally Pop Art.  The art is created by injecting paint inside the bubble wrap.  This first series focuses on iconic imagery that is generationally, inspirationally relevant and connects with end consumer.  Not only is the subject matter designed to be relevant, but the first series is also an exploration of materials and a refinement of all aspects of the creation process, ranging from design and layout of the art, to popping and injecting, to framing and delivery. The process is ever evolving and I’m amazed at the directions still unexplored.

As a result of this unique technique, Bubble Art is a combination of painting, installation art and design.  This first series reflects the diversity of subject matter and the diversity of delivery for this exciting form of art.  The series evolved from simple shapes (The Pacman) and designs to more complicated and sophisticated mappings of color (Hillary & Lips) to gradient (LadyLiberty) to reflect various aspects of shape and depth.

As the artist looks to the future, Darren looks to continue his focus on Pop Art style delivered through this Bubble Art format.  He believes that there is a diverse opportunity for imagery, both realist and abstract.
